Why Follow a Strength Programme?


What’s new this month on Class-ify with me, Jasmine Lake?


Back in March 2021 I launched my Calisthenics classes on Class-ify and in June, that followed with my Online Coaching services.


This month on July 19th, I will be launching 3 more classes on my platform.


For those of you not sure Calisthenics is for you, I am now offering 3 weights based Strength classes which will be designed as a 12 week programme with guidance on when and how to increase your weights in order to get the full benefits of the programme.


You can join the live sessions or do them on demand, with programme PDFs sent out to members and gym equipment suggestions provided for those back in the gym.


Strength class schedule:


Lower Body Strength: Mondays 12.15pm

Upper Body Strength: Thursdays 7am

Core Strength: Fridays 12.30pm


Calisthenics class schedule:


Calisthenics Strength: Mondays 6pm

Calisthenics Endurance: Wednesdays 6pm

Calisthenics Cardio: Fridays 1pm

Why Follow a Strength Programme?




The frustration many coaches have with the fitness industry is that classes are being marketed as strength based but they are not actually being programmed for strength.


Sure you can go to a class and pick up some dumbells and kettlebells and throw them around in a high intensity format and get stronger when you first start but you will quickly start to plateau. This is why so many people hit a wall and feel that they aren’t getting stronger or reaching their weight loss goals.


The misconception is that as you get stronger you have to keep pushing even harder and continue to keep the intensity high.


This couldn’t be further from the truth. You actually need to cycle your training. Having periods of lower intensity that build over weeks to higher intensity and repeating this cycle every 8 to 12 weeks is important in order to see results.


My strength classes will guide you every week, using a Rate of Perceived Exertion chart, so you know when and how to increase your weights and/or intensity week by week and the cycle restarts every 12 weeks.


Those who start mid cycle will also be guided so you can get the benefits until a new cycle starts again.
