Calisthenics on Class-ify is now LIVE!!

What is Calisthenics on Class-ify?

Class-ify is a new platform that was launched by the makers of the Just Eat app. I've recently launched on the platform, giving my members and community a convenient way to access my calisthenics classes. I currently run 3 classes a week for £28 a month and will be adding more classes as new members sign up.

After years of teaching Calisthenics at some of London's top gyms and growing an amazingly diverse community, I am finally opening up my workouts and my training method to the world.

Classes can be attended at live times or they are available on demand if you can't make the live zoom sessions. In addition, members will have monthly one to one check ins with me, invitation to members only social events and access to a member's only IG account (@skylinecalisthenics) which is slowly being populated with all the calisthenics workouts I have ever created.

I am currently offering a 7 day FREE trial so click here to sign up!

What is @Skylinecalisthenics?

If you aren't sure about joining live zoom sessions and following along with on demand classes yet then you can have access to workouts on @skylinecalisthenics for £15 a month. Class-ify members automatically get this included as part of their membership.

Skyline Calisthenics was born out of the fact that I have been teaching calisthenics for many years and in my phone, I literally have hundreds of workouts. No workout is ever the same and there is a good mixture of strength, endurance and cardio. Each workout on the IGTV is accompanied by a demo and explanation video as well as modifications.

You can sign up for @skylinecalisthenics here.

Ongoing projects on Instagram and YouTube

In addition to my Class-ify classes and @skylinecalisthenics I am continuing to create more content for my main Instagram @jazzotravelsandtrains and my Youtube Channel, bringing you fitness and calisthenics related content that I am hoping will be inspirational and useful to my online community. So, please give me a follow and subscribe to my channel.

So, what else is going on with me?

It's been exactly a year since we've been in this pandemic and a year is a lot for life to change personally and professionally. This is the part where I get a little more personal with you and open up a little about what's been going on with me.

When the pandemic first kicked off and we went into Lockdown 1.0 here in the UK, I have to admit, there was a bit of relief to be forced into a break from work. At the end of 2019, I was exhausted from my crazy schedule. I was up at 5am every single day. I had clients and classes through the day and often finished late in the evening, coming home past 9pm, just to do it all over again the next day. Weekends were a little better but 9am clients on a Saturday morning for the next few hours was not exactly a rest day. The money I was bringing in was good as far as in real life personal training goes but I wondered how long I could keep this up. I couldn't possibly work more hours than I was already doing and I was burnt out!

I spent the first lockdown naively thinking this was going to be the one and only lockdown. I rested, slept in every day (once my body allowed me to), chatted on zoom for hours with my friends, caught up with family overseas and life was very restful. Unlike many people, I didn't feel the need to try to be productive. I really needed to rest.

When we were released out of the first lockdown, a few clients got in touch and I trained them in the parks or at their homes. I had also started some calisthenics sessions on zoom with a small group of people and we brought these classes outdoors to the parks once we were allowed. I lost a number of classes at the gym but still had a couple that I managed to hang on to.

Fast forwards a few months, we went back into lockdown a second time and then a third time. I am not sure what exactly happened in the beginning of Lockdown 3.0 but this is where I had a shift in mindset. My online community organically grew and it took a life of its own in terms of the vibe and the support network that we became to each other. I began creating content for my social media that reflected my outlook on life and my passion for fitness and calisthenics. I began to see my value and my purpose more clearly and I decided it was time to stop being pushed around. The fitness industry is so saturated and trainers are so underpaid because of this. There's always a young and inexperienced trainer willing to take less money.

I don't like to see what I do as a business but I'm not sure what else to call it. It's my passion and I have decided to dedicate the next year to focussing on myself and sharing my knowledge and my passion in the way that I do best and the way that's best for me. I do, after all, come from a creative background and I have discovered that combining creativity with fitness is what lights my fire.

I will be taking a step back and limiting my in person personal training slots and dedicating more time to my online community with a vision of reaching even more people, sharing the happiness we feel after each session and just spreading our positive vibe as far and wide as humanly possible.

So, follow my journey and join my community because my heart and my mind are in the right place and I want more people to discover that in themselves.
